Attending Schools:

Cornell University will highlight our sequential degree program which is designed for students who are interested in careers that integrate academic studies in engineering and technology and include the professional fields of consulting, general management, and finance. Together both programs will provide information about the curriculum, experience, and opportunities available to students who earn an MEng/MBA.

Harvard Business School (HBS) and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offer a joint degree program for aspiring entrepreneurs, which confers an MBA from HBS and a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Sciences from SEAS. The program is completed in four semesters over two years, augmented by summer and January term coursework amounting to three-quarters of a fifth semester. Designed to train future leaders of technology ventures, the MS/MBA: Engineering Sciences Program will provide a strong foundation in general management, build design skills, and extend students’ understanding of engineering.

Kellogg will showcase the MMM Program, where students earn a MBA from Kellogg and a Master of Science in Design Innovation from the Segal Design Institute at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. The degree focuses on the intersections of business, design, technology and innovation. They will also discuss their new MBAi Program, which is a joint degree between Kellogg and the McCormick School of Engineering. It offers a unique/blended approach to the teaching of business innovation and the complex technologies that drive it forward.

UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering and The Haas School of Business present the MBA/MEng program, which enables students to earn two master’s degrees in the time it takes to complete just one. The concurrent degree program is designed to help address the need in the high-tech industry for leaders who possess both technical skills and business acumen. The four-semester MBA/MEng program is fully integrated, with students taking courses in both business and engineering, and they will participate in courses and interdisciplinary projects designed especially for the program.

The University of Michigan will highlight the Tauber Institute for Global OperationsThe Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a joint venture between the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and the College of Engineering, and many industry partners to facilitate cross-disciplinary education in global operations management. Well-designed and managed paid team projects form the cornerstone of the Tauber Institute experience and allow students to apply their knowledge to real-world settings. An undergraduate degree in engineering is not required for admission.

MIT’s Leaders for Global Operations Program (LGO) is a two year, dual-degree program in which students earn an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and a Master of Science (MS) from the MIT School of Engineering in one of seven engineering disciplines. We work with 20+ industry partner companies to provide each student with a generous fellowship, that on average covers 55% of tuition for the program, and an immersive six-month research-based internship. As an MS/MBA program that’s been around for 35 years, LGO students leverage their analytical tools, action learning, and MIT network to become innovative business leaders with the technical skills to implement complex solutions in operations and technology.
